Tintagel Castle

Located on the north coast of Dumnonia, Tintagle Castle is built on an island that juts into the ocean. The only way on or off the island is by a narrow causeway. The castle is a busy place. The Lady Morgana has recently come back to her ancestor's home after many years studying abroad. There are rumors she is a powerful sorceress now.

Whatever else she is, she is rich and she is spending her foreign wealth to repair and overhaul the old castle. She has invited knights and squires to attend her at Tintagel in the spring for a tournement. The rumor says that those who do well imn the tourney will be offered positions in the Lady's peronal retinue.

In the meantime, the castle houselhold is responsible for protecting the lands and peoples of Dumnonia.

Upwards of a hundred people live in the castle from the Lady and her knights down to the pot boys and the girls who feed the chickens. A small village huddles on the island just outside the main gates for those who work for the castlke but do not have the right to live inside: Hunters, fishermen and the like.
